Mentorship Experience

“Retire into yourself as much as possible. Associate with people who are likely to improve you. Welcome those whom you are capable of improving. The process is a mutual one. People learn as they teach.” – Seneca

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give” – Winston Churchill

If you are as passionate about workplace health, safety and wellness as we are at the Ontario Workplace Health Coalition, our Mentorship Experience might be right for you.

The OWHC values learning, collaboration and the sharing of ideas with the goal of improving workplace health through a comprehensive approach. It is because of our values, that we have developed a mentoring experience in which the mentor and mentee have the opportunity to flourish. The Ontario Workplace Health Coalition Board of Directors is fuelled by the passion and energy of a group of skilled and respected occupational health, safety and wellness professionals who volunteer their time for the betterment of workplace health.  As a mentee you will have the opportunity to receive coaching, guidance and knowledge through one-on-one interactions with this diverse group of subject matter experts in the field of occupational health, safety and wellness. You will also receive knowledge on the operations of a not-for profit which is 100% fuelled by volunteers for all the Coalition’s communications, marketing and membership support activities. We will be generous with our knowledge and sharing of our individual experiences while providing timely feedback on meaningful work which will ask the mentee to perform.

Mentee will be asked to share their knowledge and experiences about this opportunity throughout the 10 month period. To help you with your decision making process please see the attached overview.
